God's iPod in the media...
What people are saying about God's iPod...
I just wanted someone to know that Richy Clark's worship podcast has been a real blessing to me. Sometimes I wish they could be longer but I would rather them be the length that the Lords gives him. The fact that they are not rehearsed and such is what makes them so "real". I even downloaded some of the songs with the band in the background and really enjoy listening to them. I am a grandparent but they are still very enjoyalbe. I do not know of any other music that takes the listener into the presence of God like these. Pat. Brother, I would like to express my gratitude for the great job you're doing. I had always had a hard time waking up early to read my bible, I would always fall asleep... but when I found out I was more a listener than a reader I started to look for a podcast with the Spoken Word that i would be able to listen to while in bed on my iPod. I found way better than that: Food for Lamb !! I can start each day with the Word. Oh! and what an amazing translation, unbelievably great. WHAT A BLESSING for me and those that i will be able to encourage. All that thanks to you. Praize Bro. Be blessed in Jesus' name. As we say in French "merci beaucoup" :) R'TiniKan. Le Lamentin, Martinique. I am a missionary in Pueblo,CO. I was trained at YWAM-Tyler and I have been really missing the teaching and fellowship. Winkie Pratney's Podcast is awesome and it makes me feel like i'm at home at the base. Andrea. Pueblo, CO. I hope that GodsiPod is being funded better. I have given and will give again but it annoyed me reading of comments from some of your subscribers. I know what it is like as a student and when I was studying for my degree I got married to my beautiful wife Sharon and our twins arrived 6 months before my finals! Even though being a student is tough financially it is amazing what God can do if you give (with all areas of your life not just cash). Our children are now 12 (twins) and 10 and even now with family responsibilty and our company going down last year and incurring 20k (GBP) debt we can still give to our fellowship and missions. Please read out this rant if you want to from someone who has been blessed by the podcasts and has given out of a 'bad' situation. Your 'Thank you' page after donating was an unexpected surprise and made me smile and it said 'if God does bless you please let us know' and the first time ever an e-mail landed about my work within minutes of reading your thank you! I have not become a millionaire, I don't do a 'Prosperity' Gospel and the enquiry has led me to talk to the gentleman about what God is doing and we are going to chat more and I hope that he meets Jesus in a real way. Please all you students fast for a day and the cash you would spend on food or beer (or both) then give to God'siPod. If 6000 of you gave a dollar a month then after charges this ace podcasting service would get around 4000 dollars. Come on guys and girls, just give to see people get blessed through this great service. Food for a day will cost 5-10 dollars just fast for people to get blessed by God's iPod and give the money to the service once a month. Don't get that blingy Christian T-Shirt/Bangle/Bracelet/Bumper Sticker this month bless God'siPod and encourage others to do the same! I hope that this is ok. It has just been on my heart for a while. Your service blessed me through the wind down of my company, the death of my mum, my father in law having a major op, my mother in law having a brain haemorhage and seeing God do a miracle and her walking out of hospital when she wasn't going to come out breathing. This sounds like a lot but it is life and life with older parents, it is a time that all face at some point. I know that I have only given once but will give again. Bless you, Thanks again for sharing your heart and bless you and Shelley on this the start of your journey together. With regards, Billy. UK. Gods iPod with Richy Clark. Thank you so much. I have been able to enjoy the worship no matter what time I wake up ...and be with GOD. Thank you thank you thank you, Eva JOY. It is my pleasure to support your ministry. I listen to a verse from your site everyday on my way to work (along with a sermon from Charles Stanley). It helps me start my day. I pray that this small amount will help win souls to Christ and make him pleased with both of us on judgment day :) My lone desire is to hear him say on that day "Well done my good and faithful servant!" If I can be of further service, just ask. May God bless your ministry. Scott Snow. Mason Ohio. I just finished reading your most recent blogs. I know you probably get more email then you know what to do with. I don't expect you to write back.. but I just wanted to tell you that your testimony that you openly shared about your family.. helped me not feel so alone. I too was abused and kicked out many times as a child and young adult by my mom. Drugs and alcohol where so common place. I was born again at a young age.. brought to the Lord by a Sunday school teacher that came and took me to church. And my mom was involved in Wicca when I was a teenager and I was a very dedicated Christian (all be it religious) teenager. And that's when she kicked me out for the last time. I understood about not telling people your past. Most wouldn't believe I came out of 3 generations of Satanism and a family addicted to drugs. I feel funny sharing it with you.. since you don't know me from Adam. I just wanted to tell you thank you and that I don't feel so alone now. I'm sorry I don't have more to give to "God's ipod". If I could I would support the entire thing! But I promise I'm praying for you and believing for perfect wisdom and perfect provision to flow during this time. There isn't much more to say then thank you.. and Thanks you Jesus! For without Him.. and his presence and power in our lives.. we would be without hope. I pray His love flow through you toward others today! In His Grip, Shakeira, Housewife, mother, abandoned worshipper of Jesus. Washington State, USA. Thanks for making us aware of the needs of God's iPod! We subscribed off the iTunes site and didn't even realize you had a website!! As a YWAMer in the 70's Winkie's teaching had profound and lasting impact on my life. Both my daughters (now YWAMers) grew up on his cassettes (ancient data form ;) and so I was THRILLED to find God's iPod available! We also have close ties to Lindale, Tyler, and Paul B.s church, so we can picture you there serving Jesus in this wonderful way. My husband and I are leaving in a few weeks to help staff a DTS with outreach to AIDS victims in Africa. (If we come to mind, please pray for our school!) Meanwhile, we're excited to be some small part of your ministry and gladly send our gift! Blessings and love in our Wonderful Saviour, Kim and Carey. Plymouth, Indiana, USA. I am a Chaplain in the Army. I spend 7 days a week ministering to soldiers of our nation's army. It is a spirtually exhausting life. I am so thankful for your podcast and the new radiant worship has been an answer to prayer for me. My dry bones have new flesh and my soul soars today because God met me right at my needs through the Scriptures and through music. I have now put God's ipod on my little girl's ipod. She's 11 and just now learning what worship is. Thanks again and may God continue to bless all you do! In Christ, Brad. NC, USA. Thanks for a great opportunity to listen to the word while I work. Francis. Oslo, Norway. Hello, Lord bless you. I really appreciate your ministry. I wish I could appreciate you more...but for now I'll appreciate you for $30 a month. So I hope that helps because your ministry certainly helps me. I really enjoy the Food for Lambs...I was praying for something like that. In Christ, Jason. Fountain Valley, USA. Your God's podcast is a blessing to me. i listen to one each morning before work, and read along in my Bible. It helps me to concsentrate on the messages... In the evening, i listen to another before bed, and i think about what has been placed in my heart by the Holy Spirit, before i sleep. On the weekends i will listen to several of them in my spare time as i sit and read along. Thank you. What a wonderful idea u have. If i have extra money (not now, as i am saving to go see my children in a town far away from Duncan) i will send u $ to help keep this God's Podcast going. Blessings and peace to u. Sincerely, Dennis Spiers. Duncan. Firstly, thank you for this site. I have listened to it over the last year and it has been very inspiring. I've just finished listening to Matthew's Gospel. It makes daily reading much easier. Thank you. May God give you peace. Mark. London, England I listen to the podcast every morning whilst I am on the train on my way to work, it is just the right length for my commute. It is a fantastic experience just to listen to God's word, the old testament has come to life for me through this podcast. Thank you, Heather. London, England I am enjoying listening to Food For Lambs. As a matter of fact, I just found out about this site a couple days ago, and have been catching up very quickly. Thank you for giving me something edifying to listen to throughout the day! Sam. Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, USA. Thanks! I listen to your podcasts every night before I fall asleep. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your work. You're in my prayers. I hope your ministy grows and grows. Sincerely, Angie. Omaha, Nebrasksa, USA. What a joy. The 'New Testament in a Year' podcast means more to me than I can describe. For months now I've been feeling that I haven't been progressing in my walk by just reading the Bible and attending services. When I bought the iPod I felt like I was making a very selfish, materialistic purchase. I never thought I could use it to gain a deeper understanding of the Gospel. Now I listen daily and use that time to grow just a little closer to the Lord. Thank you. I pray you will be blessed many times over for your sacrifice. It has certainly been a blessing for me. Greg. Greenville, SC, USA. God's iPod is a wonderful ministry. It brings the voice in the wilderness right there in your ear. I can not listen enough, I download and listen as fast as I can. Thank you for this gift of gospel. Chas. New Mexico, USA. I would like to thank you and all at Gods iPod for this year long journey, with your help my iPod has taken on a whole new meaning to me, it's not just for music it now holds the Lords words which I listen to most nights before going to sleep. Many thanks, your brother in God's family. Martin. Ireland. Just wanted to thank you for the Podcasts- it's very helpful for one running about like mad as I often do. I am particularly grateful as I am a blind computer user and subsequently find the ready accessability of such great servants of our Lord quite the blessing. Again my thanks and God bless you in life and your work. In Christ. G.W. Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA. What a fantastic reource. God is so good. He thinks of everything. It is a pefect way to start the day with the Food for Lambs or Year in the New Testament. These podcasts have enriched my life immeasurabley. Thankyou. Tanya. Nassau,Bahamas. Thanks for the podcast. I enjoy listening to it on my way to work everyday. It really helps me out.Thanks. Matt Copher. Illinois, USA. I am really enjoying the podcasts - just subscribed to the new one, you are doing a great job! Thanks for the encouragement every day. Faith comes by Hearing and Hearing by the Word of God. That's why this podcast is great! Christy. Irvine, CA, USA. I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy the God's iPod podcast. Thanks for all the hard work on these podcasts! Chris. Cary, NC, USA. I'm military and currently stationed overseas in the Middle East. I made a commitment to become a better Christian and to listen to God's word (and iPod) while I commute 45 minutes to work every day. It's been incredible. I use a study bible and God's iPod each day, and I can't begin to describe the difference it's made in my life. I wanted to write to you and let you know how much I appreciate your work. Thanks! Please keep it up... In Christ, James. Wichita Falls, TX, USA. Thank you for a excellent podcast. I've been richly blessed listening to the teaching. Morten, Norway. Hi, I commute everyday and spend quite a bit of time riding a light rail train. Due to the constant noise and train movement, reading was not an option for me (I thought - such a waste of time. Music is good, but I needed something else for spiritual health). During the holiday's I received an iPod. I spent alot of time looking for a Bible program for the iPod because I believed that listening to God's Word everyday would be beneficial to my spiritual life. Finally, I found your site and have been listening to the Bible reading nearly everyday. What a blessing! Keep up the good work! Brother in Christ. Jerry, CA, USA. Thank you for your podcast. Listening to A Year in the New Testament every day fills me spiritually. The knowledge I get from the Word cements my faith in Jesus Christ and makes me strong when I share my faith with others. What a wonderful gift you give to the World by broadcasting God's inspired Word to us all. Bless you and thanks again! Tim, VA, USA. I listen to your podcast of the New Testament on my daily commute to work. I've been listening since October and trying to catch up to the present (I'm still in Acts, but just a few days and I'll be current). I have read through the Bible on my own before. But for the last ten years or so, my only interaction with the Bible has been listening to sermons on Sundays or reading bits and pieces out of my NIV Study Bible. Never before have I just simply LISTENED to the Word of God. And so on my commute to work every morning, I simply LISTEN, with no interpretation and no lecture about what it all means. I thought this might not be beneficial because I didn't have a pastor or Reverend telling me what it all meant, but it has been incredible. I've felt God change my heart and life more in the last few months than in the past five years! All from hearing His Glorious Word. I tried out one other Bible podcast before I settled on yours. I didn't like it because it seemed commercialized and the reader seemed to want to interpret everything for me instead of just letting God's Words speak for itself. So be encouraged that you're ministry has touched one life tremendously. Josh, Oregon, USA Hey, Thanks for your support and ministry on God's iPod. I am a teenager in the U.S. and I have been blessed by your contributions and Podcasts daily. I hope to receive the entire New Testament on the iPod soon, but without your help, I would have never had it. Thanks so much. May God bless you and your works in the kingdom to bless others. =) Sean, CA, USA. You are providing a great service here, one which I really appreciate. I've been listening to your podcast now for several weeks, and am listening to several chapters a day. Pete, Okinawa, Japan. I love your downloads. I have downloaded all the gospels and now I'm downloading Acts and Romans. Anyway, being a born again christian I strive to learn as much as I can about Jesus and God from every source I can. Your iPod downloads now travel with me in the car every day. Thank you. Gods peace, David, Kentucky, USA. Just wanted to drop a note saying thanks for all the work that goes into the daily New Testement podcast. I have a 30 minute commute to work every day and these have really helped me spend that time with God. I only wish they were longer! Actually, for now I can just go back to the begining and download everything.. I didn't start until Acts so I have some catching up to do. Anyways, thanks for the work!! God Bless!! Dustin, OK, USA. Hi, I really appreciate your podcast and listen to it frequently. Keep it on! Matthijs, Netherlands Dear Mr Anderson, In relative isolation from other western Christians, I really enjoy listening to God's iPod, and it gets right down to the scriptures without alot of explanation and preliminaries. Bob, Changhua, Taiwan. Thank you for what you are doing to advance the Kingdom of God! Richard, NJ, USA. I've been listening to your podcast for a few weeks now, having found it just before our long holiday in the summer - and have been trying to catch up ever since. I think it is really very good: the quality of recording is good, the content is, of course, good and well focused, I especially value the summaries you do as it helps me get into focus, and it has helped me focus on the Lord every morning. You were recently recommended in a widely circualted Christian magazine in the UK in an article about podcasting which I was very pleased to see. Not many older people are into podcasting let alone mp3 players (I'm 45) but I would recommend gopdsipod.com to anyone. I'm looking forward not only to listening to the New Testament this year but perhaps the Old Testament in two years after that....? God bless you for your work. Andy, Rugby, UK Hi, I am very happy listening each day to a daily Bible reading. Micha, Basel, Switzerland. I am a new Christian and spend a lot of time in my car as a result of my work. The ability of being able to listen to Gods Ipod whilst driving is tremendous. Keep up the good work. Yours in Christ, Geoff, Australia It is a wonderful service that are providing to the world by offering the best translation of the Bible, free of charge, in audio format. It is especially important in a society where people often seem to busy to sit down and read a book, much less the Bible. You definitely found a need and filled it. Well done and God bless you! Ryan, OK, USA Hi. I've been listening since you started and it's gotten me through many long nights with a new baby. I usually listen in bed at night and the soothing voice of the reader often puts me to sleep. What better way to enter sleep than with the word of God in ones head. Keep up the good work. Stephanie, WA, USA Thank you for the work you do in bringing the New Testament in an easy understandable form. God Bless You, Will, CA, USA I appreciate what you and God's Word are doing for believers and non-believers alike. I usually put 10 to 15 chapters on my MP3 player a day. Then I can listen to them while I deliver papers (my second job). I have found myself more in tune with God's will and able to make better decisions in everyday life. Thanks so much for this ministry!! Noel, OK, USA. The New Testament podcast is really good and I make it a part of my day everyday on the way to work. I have let my friends know about it too. Thanks so much! Blessings, Matt, Virginia, USA. Thanks so much for this resource. I lead a very busy schedule and it is so nice to be able to hear God's word on my trip to work and back. Keep up the great work! Scott, OR, USA. Thank you so much for this ministry. I listen to the new chapter everyday before I begin work. It's such a wonderful resource to have available. Like most of us the "busy-ness" of life can be so much and listening to God's word everyday keeps me focused and begins my day with scripture and prayer - the BEST way to start a day! : ) Blessings! Davonne, IL, USA. Thank you for this podcast, it's my favorite! I often struggle with taking the time to read my Bible every day, but having the ultimate convenience of your podcast keeps me hearing God's word every day, and is a huge encouragement for me to stay on track with my devotions. Listening to God's word in spoken form also adds an extra dimension to reading it, and I often get more from a passage by hearing it read aloud. Thank you for your ministry! Jim, Pittsburgh, USA. Thanks for doing this podcast. I have enjoyed listening a lot because it gives me the chance to feed on God's Word at work during my day. Keep up the good work, Eric, MN, USA. Hi, This is fantastic. I find that listening to podcasts has become a part of my daily life and I was craving for some Bible reading podcasts which I can just sync and listen. Thanks for this podcast and may I encourage you to attempt the Bible in a Year podcast, too. The start-up and finish to the actual bible reading rather than going on to the chapter is very good. The synopsis gets one tuned in straight-away! Keep up the good work and God Bless. Regards, Ranjit, Manchester, UK. | ||
